Every quilter needs some books on their shelves to inspire and teach them! These books are perfect gifts that should be on every quilter’s wish list!

This book is a fantastic combination of quilts and other quilted things for around your home! - “Ultimate Binding and Edge-Finishing Guide” by Deonn Stott
There are so many different ways to finish a quilt! Deonn gives examples and ideas for every project! You’ll be a pro at all kinds of binding with this book!
tools of the trade
The tools I have here listed on the quilter’s wish list are all tools that I use regularly and couldn’t live without!
- Creative Grids Stripology Ruler– This is great for cutting strips and sub cutting pieces in record time! It is by far one of my most favorite tools!
- Creative Grids Circle Savvy Ruler– whether you struggle with curves, or quilt with curves a lot, this ruler is a life saver for cutting all those curved pieces!
- Rotating Cutting Mat– when you have stacks of blocks to trim, it’s nice to have a rotating mat so that you don’t have to rotate the block itself to trim each edge.
- Rotary Cutter– Olfa is my favorite brand of rotary cutter, and this one comes in a cute light blue color!
- Self-Healing Cutting Mat– I am not picky about the brand of cutting mat. I have bought this mat several times and absolutely love it. The important thing is to have a big one!
- Snips– fabric and thread scissors are important to have! I have become a collector of cool scissors! These vintage inspired thread scissors would make a great gift!
- Leather Thimble– If your quilter does any kind of stitching by hand, these leather thimbles will come in handy!
- Label Stickers– It is often very helpful to have labels when cutting lots of pieces for a quilt. These alphabet stickers are the perfect solution to stay organized.
- Craft Light– When quilting, there is no such thing as too much light! This light is the perfect desk top light to hover over your sewing machine!

The basics are important, but it’s the rare finds and custom makes that make my heart swell! So this is the section of the quilter’s wishlist that will really make them love you forever!
- Quilt Hanger– Every quilter needs a way to display their works of art! Something that will wow guests! These custom wood quilt hangers are my FAVORITE (and I have several kinds).
- Thread Stand– The same shop that makes the quilt hangers also makes GORGEOUS ocean resin thread stands! This will definitely make your quilter giddy with excitement!
- Custom Wood Tool Sets– these are pricey, but absolutely beautiful and worth every penny!
- Color Cards– It is hard to match fabrics from home! It helps to have color cards of your favorite solid lines to refer to!
- Rifle Paper Company Tape Measure– I mean, Pretty much anything from RPCo would be a great gift! But these cute retractable tape measures are so cute!
